By adding various stops, you'd find the sharpness is better at actual f/2.8, probably much better at f/4 to f/5.6. Presenting a radical leap in the micro four-thirds mirrorless camera range that puts all competitors in the shade including those from its own versatile stable the Olympus OM-D E-M1 is in a class of its own despite having been around since 2013. Though perhaps not razor-sharp, I think their reputation is going to suffer unfairly because of these stop-less adapters on digital cameras.
In fact, several videographers prefer high-quality DSLR cameras to camcorders because of the higher resolution and smaller form factor. If you went inside a modern lens and removed the aperture mechanism including associated rings and baffles, you'd be shooting through edges of the elements and the sharpness would take a noticeable hit. The advantage of a digital camera is that it isn’t limited to taking still photos. Optically, it's no fair to go without the stop that makes them f/2.8 as engraved.

In this experiment, the lenses are being used in a way never intended. But I think it's only fair (to the now-mostly-retired Pentax engineers who designed this system), to emphasize a point that only a few others are making: its tiny size is its only good point, because both sound and video, in this age of high definition, are poor to say the least.
